Most weekends I show up as auntie, sissy, mentor, dance teacher — all at once.

I show up with encouragement, instilling confidence and quiet pep talks.
Reminding them to trust their talent.
Recording their videos.
Watching class.
Making sure they pause long enough to eat, sit still, and maybe even close their eyes for a moment.

I remind them to find the joy.
TO HAVE FUN!!
Most of all ~ to remember their why. 🧡

My teachers were always on the sidelines. If we needed help with the combo, they tapped in. I find so much joy in being that for these dancers.

Whether I'm judging or on this side of the table, these weekends are exhausting - yet deeply fulfilling.

To the dancers who say my presence help them feel calm & supported - you're welcome.🥰
To the parents who message me about what it means to you - thank you for trusting me.

I will always show up willingly. It's in my DNA. It's what I do.
