https://linktr.ee/lorteltheatre Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accountability statement

The Lucille Lortel Theatre and Foundation have always sought to uplift and enfranchise artists. We were founded to present bold and illuminating works, and to empower artists who may not have had the opportunity for their voices to be heard. We recognize that social, economic, and other barriers have excluded many artists, staff, and audiences from full participation in our activities. While we have taken steps to become more inclusive, we can do more. As a leading Off-Broadway organization, we recognize that fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive environment is fundamental to serving our community. We commit ourselves to following our Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Allyship policy, which was developed by our staff. Mission Statement

The Lucille Lortel Theatre's mission is to foster both new and established artists, increase awareness and appreciation of Off-Broadway, and uphold fair and equitable business and artistic practices in service of creating a larger, more diverse community of theatre makers and audiences. What is theater actually trying to do? For Christian Parker, it can mean getting underneath the lived experience. Christian joins Caridad Svich for a new Conversation from the Alcove about what theater can reveal when we look beneath the story.

Season 6 of Conversations from the Alcove features playwrights and theater-makers from the Lucille Lortel Theatre’s New Play Development Program.
