There is a great deal unfolding around us. At times, it appears the country is moving backwards, but let us be honest: the signs were never hidden. “Make America Great Again” was always, in part, a longing for a return to a former order. So yes, in many ways, we are witnessing a pulling backward.

Yet understand this: a bow must first be drawn back before the arrow can be launched forward with greater force, precision, and velocity.

Do not lose heart in the tension of this moment.

What some intended as regression may ultimately become the very pressure that awakens courage, strategy, unity, creativity, and spiritual clarity in the people. History has shown us repeatedly that systems often overreach just before transformation begins to emerge.

Something deeper is brewing beneath the surface.

So position yourself accordingly.
Strengthen your mind.
Tend to your spirit.
Protect your peace.
Build community.
Sharpen your gifts.
Study the times, but do not become consumed by them.

Remember the rhythm of preparation before manifestation.
Athletes train before the championship.
Farmers prepare before harvest.
Nations tremble before rebirth.

Get in rhythm with wisdom, discipline, and vision, and you will not merely survive these times, you will move through them with power and purpose.

And remember:
we are not powerless spectators watching history unfold.
We are active participants shaping what comes next.

We are the victory that overcomes systems that are not in alignment with us. We create our own eco systems using their tools while simultaneously developing our own in real time.

Hold your center.
Stay awake.
Stay grounded.
Stay prophetic.
And keep building.

Happy Mothers Day Sunshine

There is a famous Kemetic proverb often paraphrased as:

“Honor your mother and never forget what she did for you.”

The wisdom texts repeatedly emphasize reverence for mothers because they were viewed as earthly reflections of the universal feminine principle.

And within many African-centered spiritual interpretations today, the mother is also seen as:

* ancestor,
* first teacher,
* first rhythm,
* first nourishment,
* and the original vessel through which spirit enters the world.

If you didn’t, or don’t, have the greatest relationship with your mother, forgive her, honor her as the chosen vessel through whom you came into this world, and move forward in peace, healing, and prosperity for yourself.

If your mom is an ancestor on her memory today, she is yet here in another form.

we honor our mothers today and every day!

Beloved creatives
Affirm perfection, align with perfection, live from perfection. Ancient sacred text instructs us to mark the perfect man. Jesus reminded us to be perfect as the Universal Source of all life is perfect. We are not speaking of flawlessness. We are not claiming that we never make mistakes or that we never get upset. We are not denying that we have been broken, because we have. We are not ignoring that we have missed the mark, because we absolutely have. We are not overlooking the fact that we have dropped the ball, because all of us have at some point.This declaration that we are perfect is not arrogance. It is not superiority. It is not placing ourselves above anyone. It is a remembering of our original identity before trauma, before pain, before fear or anxiety ever touched us. Did you catch the wisdom? Grace looks beyond our faults to reveal our need to remember who we never stopped being. It calls us back to the essence God breathed into us. It reminds us of who we are essentially and intrinsically regardless of what we have done or what has happened to us. I know we have been conditioned to identify with our woundedness. But we are not the wounds. We are not the mistakes. We are not the moments that tried to redefine us. We are sourced from Perfection. We are one with Perfection. There is a part of us that has never been perverted, smeared, or tainted. The perfect you. The perfect me.
