Technique & Repertory Intensive
📍 Paris, France | December 27–31, 2026

Join Francesca Todesco / Dances We Dance for five days of immersion in the art and technique of Isadora Duncan — in the city where Duncan lived, created, and profoundly shaped the history of modern dance.

Through daily technique classes and repertory sessions, we will explore Duncan’s revolutionary approach to movement: musicality, natural gesture, breath, expression, and the connection between the body and the world around us.

The intensive will culminate in a student showing on December 31, offering participants the opportunity to share the work with an audience and experience Duncan’s living legacy on stage.

This fall, step into the world of Isadora Duncan and explore the movement, musicality, and expressive freedom that continue to inspire generations of dancers.

Join Dances We Dance for weekly Sunday sessions combining Duncan technique, repertory, and creative exploration. Led by Francesca Todesco and members of Dances We Dance, the workshop will also invite participants to create new movement inspired by Duncan’s revolutionary approach to dance.

The 5th Isadora Duncan International Symposium will take place in Paris, France, June 29–July 2, 2027.

We are also excited to announce the launch of the new Duncan Legacy Project website and a major milestone: the Duncan Legacy Project is now an official nonprofit organization.
Through the Isadora Duncan Archive, the International Symposium, and other educational initiatives, DLP supports the global dance community by fostering the sharing of artistic, educational, and scholarly work and promoting dance history as dynamic, inclusive, and ever-evolving.

Join our Summer Intensive Duncan workshop this summer at the 92NY Harkness Dance Center, 1395 Lexington Avenue in New York City.

Driven by breath and fueled by momentum Duncan’s work unlocks a dynamic range of weight, flow, and expressive power. Led by Catherine Gallant with longtime collaborators Francesca Todesco, Loretta Thomas, and Marie Carstens. Each session will begin with a technique class and include an exploration of selected works created by Duncan over 100 years ago. We hope you will join us as we dive into repertory rich with dramatic possibility and expansive physicality. This workshop invites you to step inside this legacy of modern dance — physically, viscerally, and creatively.
