Hi everyone! “My husband” is casting actors for our performance in June! Our team has worked hard to get the ball rolling! It would be a huge help to share this information with anyone you think might fit the role, especially the two older characters. Show Title: My Husband
Genre: Comedy/Drama
Project: Volunteer / Low *low* Budget first theatrical production
Location: NYC
Performance dates: *Thursday* June 8th, Saturday June 10th, Sunday June 11th
Rehearsals: once a week in person starting mid march to beginning of June

Premise: John Flowers has early onset Alzheimer’s and forgets his husband, Tim Goodman. Together they recount stories from their past in order to try and get John to remember.
Casting for 5 lead actors and 3 ensemble actors
John Flowers: 50-70, male presenting, must be comfortable kissing another man, well seasoned actor.
A smart ass, but loving and caring. Very snide and crude. Also has a MOUTH.
Tim Goodman: 50-70, male presenting, must be comfortable kissing another man, well seasoned actor.
Patient, passionate and loving. Has poor fashion taste. Avoids foul language as best he can.
Joyce: 30-45, Female presenting, ish? Intermediate actor.
Fierce, supportive, and sensitive. Just wants what’s best for her dads. Also has a mouth. Perfected insults from her Papa.
Young John: 20-30, male presenting, gay kiss, beginner to intermediate actor.
Young Tim: 28-38, male presenting, gay kiss, (Potential straight kiss as well) beginner to intermediate actor.
Three others, any age. At least one female presenting. One has to be comfortable with the use of the F slur, and using q***r in a derogatory fashion.
