First bows for HARMONY at Hale Centre Theatre: first production since Broadway. It’s beautiful. A story that must live on. Bravo

What does it take to make a new musical??? So much. Including incredible actors and creative teams. I’m even more aware of the magic this week. Shout out to the investors that make this process possible. It’s teamwork in the biggest way.

Near Mom Fail.
Left rehearsal early for Jacob’s senior banquet.
A Cancelled train.
Then a delayed train.
Clock ticking
Boys texting ‘where are you?’
Nothing like the feeling of needing to be somewhere with no control in getting there!
Thankful I caught nearly all green lights.
Thankful for boys whose memories are short and forgiving hearts are big.
Maybe I didn’t make it for the speeches, but I made it for the Photo Booth.

CATS: The Jellicle Ball is my fourth Broadway show; third as a Co-Producer. This time of year—with the race to the Tony Awards—I’m even more aware of the important role of investors, co-producers, and the lead producers that bring it all together.

Thank you CATS:The Jellicle Ball; OTHELLO; HARMONY and A BEAUTIFUL NOISE for the thrill of being part of a Broadway show.

Now as , and I lead produce we honor the path you’ve carved for every other lead producer.

Cheers to each lead producing team this season. We are cheering you on. Break-a-leg !!

5 of the Hardest things I’ve done as a Mom:

1. Bearing them.
Seasons of infertility. A miscarriage.

2. Raising Jacob and Oliver
They are two of the greatest blessing in our lives and I can’t imagine my life without out them. And it’s been one of the hardest things I’ve (we’ve) done.

3. transitions.
Nataleigh’s mission. Ethan getting back from his mission and realizing he’ll never be “home” again.

4. Health challenges.
Theirs and mine. Nataleigh’s head injury. Fragile X. A RA scare. Early on-set menopause.

5. Overextending myself
Fruit Heights Stake Musical R***e. Building Laurelwood. 2009-2010. David commuting between Santa Clara and Utah County. Entrepreneur life. Ethan’s 3rd birthday party.

It’s true, though. I wouldn’t change a thing. This Mother’s Day I honor the challenges that make us who we are and the gift of motherhood that provides these opportunities to learn.

My best production have always been this family. So proud of my eldest and the man he’s become. Cheers to this milestone- a degree in Agribusiness from Utah State; following his passion of being one with the earth, and a dedication to organic production. He values being close to our food source and helping other people live full lives of health and happiness. I count my blessings daily to be the mother of our wonderful motley crew. Thank you, also, and for@making us grandparents. It’s truly the greatest joy to watch our family expand.
