From the press release: “Ethereal Communication” explores the subtle and varied ways in which meaning is conveyed. From spoken language to text messages to music to eye contact, ideas and feelings are transmitted. This curated exhibition seeks to look at the ways communication can take on an otherworldly quality–an airiness that feels lighter than this world. This exhibition highlights the work of these artists who seek in their own way to communicate, through their artworks, the delicate nature of connection. Artists in “Ethereal Communication” include Ann Marie Auricchio, Nicholas Battis, Rebecca LS Buchanan, Sarah Canfield, Robin Colodzin, Barbara Kemp Cowlin, Nancy Daubenspeck, Ginnie Gardiner, Lisa Hess Hesselgrave, Diane Novetsky, Jean Rim, Joan Ryan and Andra Samelson.

It engages the idea that a visual and personal narrative takes place between and within the artworks themselves.
