The magic of the pteranodon puppets is undeniable! Rachael Shane is the magical puppet maker behind these beautiful flying creatures. From her in depth research and sturdy construction - she really delivered on these. It was always a breathtaking moment for audiences as the pteranodons flew over head and they got to have an up close and personal experience with a *real* dinosaur!

“A personal call of congratulations from THE Dr. Karen Chin! Now THAT ROCKS!”
It has been an absolute pleasure to connect with Dr. Karen Chin over email and we were so honored that she agreed to participate in the show with a video call cameo! She is incredibly kind, supportive and an inspiring figure.

As stated in the show: There’s so much we can learn from dinosaur doo doo – it’s filled with clues. Just look at our friend Dr. Karen Chin. Dr. Karen Chin is a paleontologist who studies prehistoric ecosystems using coprolites – poo. These under-appreciated fossils give clues about animal behavior, community structures, and species interactions. There’s even a book about it: “The Clues are in the Poo”!

Our DIG UP! Featured Author is Jane Kurtz. Jane has written more than forty picture books! Among them are these 3 dino books that we had on display and in our cozy reading cave. ‘The Clues are in the Poo: The Story of Dinosaur Scientist Karen Chin’ even gets a mention IN the show itself!

Creativity was on full display at the Creation Station sponsored by Dissent Pins! Paleo Pals were prompted to use the magnets to create their own prehistoric creatures! 🦕🦣🪽✨

It’s always a good feeling when you find a company that has just the thing you’re imagining. Even better when the company is a match when it comes to values. And the best when the company becomes a sponsor! A mammoth sized thanks to Dissent Pins for the Cryptid & Ancient Animals construction kits. They were huge hit!

Our Dino Build station was absolutely rockin’ thanks to Imagination Playground!

Out of all the pre-show stations for our newest show, “DIG UP! A Dinosaur Expedition”, the Dino Build was one of the busiest! Kids had a blast building a stegosaurus skeleton with these large foam dino bones. It was the perfect way to prepare them for their dinosaur encounter inside our inflatable planetarium dome. 🦖🦕

Big thanks to Imagination Playground for this beautiful custom set and the extra smaller bones as well!
