ATChoir is a new choral experience- part class, part rehearsal.

First, everyone receives some hands-on Alexander Technique Work.

Then, we do activities and work with a principal that relates to singing using the AT.

The final part of time is used rehearsing music from a variety of styles, genres and historic periods.

The Alexander Technique can help singers find "glorious neutral" so that our intentions can easily translate into beautiful shades of color. Come discover "glorious neutral" and we'll try some different vocal colors in a madrigal by Thomas Morley and in Doris Day's Sentimental Journey.

ATChoir resumes Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00 at the Balance Arts Center in mid-town. We will continue our exploration of what it means to be an individual singer in an ensemble.

Attendees will receive individual hands-on Alexander Technique work, participate in group activities exploring mind, body and voice, and spend time learning and rehearsing a piece of music as a choir. $20, drop-ins welcome!
