Blue Note London officially opened last night, bringing the legendary Blue Note name and its rich live-music tradition to the British capital.

Madonna is returning to the MTV VMA stage — 23 years after her last live performance there.

On Sunday, September 27, Madonna will open the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards live from Los Angeles, adding another chapter to a relationship with the VMAs that stretches back to her unforgettable Like a Virgin performance at the inaugural show in 1984.

She also enters the night as the most-nominated artist of the year with a career-high 11 nominations, including Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Song of the Year.

From Like a Virgin to Vogue to 2026 — few artists are as intertwined with VMA history as Madonna.

When music, fashion and creative longevity come together.

The legendary Chaka Khan is in her Chakzilla era, and a recent interview by Eileen Shapiro for Get Out! Magazine explores the music, creativity and energy behind this chapter of her remarkable career.

One observation from Chaka particularly stands out:

“A great song doesn’t have an expiration date.”

There is also a wonderful fashion connection to Nashville.

Designer Michael White, whose work has been worn by Chaka Khan, has also designed numerous pieces for Irene Michaels. Irene wore these distinctive Michael White jeans Sunday on the red carpet at the Josie Music Awards in Nashville.
