𝗞𝗶𝗮𝗳 𝗦𝗘𝗢𝗨𝗟 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝟭𝟵 Cecile Chong is a New York–based multidisciplinary artist whose research-informed practice investigates how materials, objects, languages, and living forms carry histories of movement, ecological knowledge, and cultural exchange across generations and geographies. Born in Ecuador to Chinese parents and raised in Quito and Macau, her work draws on lived experiences across the Americas and Asia.

We are proud to present a brand new painting by Korean artist Heekyoung Jeon at 𝗞𝗶𝗮𝗳 𝗦𝗘𝗢𝗨𝗟 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝟭𝟵. Come visit us through Sunday 09/06 at COEX Seoul.
Jeon earned her BFA and MFA in Painting from Hongik University. Jeon’s recent works have been profoundly shaped by her time immersed in the natural environments of South Korea. Her compositions echo the movement of waterfalls, oceans, and shifting atmospheres but also emotional and intuitive mappings of interior landscapes. Her lively sceneries are made of fluid brushwork, intricate details, and a palette dominated by shades of blue. Her works have recently been acquired by HANA Bank (Seoul, KR) for their prestigious permanent collection. With 20 solo exhibitions since her debut in 2006 and over 150 group exhibitions worldwide, she has developed a robust and distinct language. In 2013, she was awarded the ‘Artist of Tomorrow Grand Prize’ by the Gyeomjae Jeongseon Art Museum. She has exhibited and participated in residencies at renowned institutions such as the Bundanon Art Museum in Australia, the Guandu Museum of Fine Art, and the Taitung Art Museum in Taiwan, as well as recently at Art Lab Sanyang in Korea. Numerous art institutions, public agencies, and private collectors have added her works to their collection including the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art -Art Bank and the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art.

𝗞𝗶𝗮𝗳 𝗦𝗘𝗢𝗨𝗟 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝟭𝟵 Sept 3-6, 11-7 at COEX
Elisa Bertaglia (b. 1983) is an Italian who addresses philosophical themes through an oneiric and eclectic language. She investigates the concept of symbol in contemporaneity exploring the worlds of nature, duality and memory, from both an intimate and shared perspective. Bertaglia’s new works focus on the themes of threshold and metamorphosis and most recently on the concept of rest a a creative source.
Most recently, Bertaglia presented a solo exhibition at SARAHCROWN gallery, New York, and a two-person show at the Institute for Classical Architecture and Art, New York (2025). In 2024, her work was featured at the Invisible Collection, New York, and Kiaf Seoul, South Korea. In 2023, she exhibited at Residency Unlimited, Brooklyn, and the Fattori Museum, Livorno, Italy. Her work has been shown in galleries, museums, and institutions internationally, including Palazzo Madama, Turin, Italy; the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Saitama, Japan; the Guggenheim Museum, Venice, Italy; and the Borges Cultural Center, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Stefano Caimi obtained a Bachelors degree in Architecture from the
Polytechnic of Milan in 2014, followed by a Masters degree in Sustainable
Architecture from the Polytechnic of Turin in 2016. His work is held in various international public and private collections, including AkzoNobel Art Foundation (NL), Anthropocene Collection of MUSE Museum (IT) and In4Art (NL). Kiaf SEOUL Booth G19: presenting works by Michael Fried (US) along Stefano Caimi (IT), Bu Shi (CHN) and Elisa Bertaglia (IT), Cecile Chong (US), Heekyoung Jeon (KR).
Michael Fried constructs still life paintings that function less as depictions of reality than as rehearsals for imagined possibilities. He builds carefully staged environments in which everyday objects are removed from their familiar contexts and placed within controlled spaces where their usual behavior no longer applies. Fruit-like forms, geometric shapes, shadows, and fragments of architecture recur throughout his work like a cast of actors moving between theatrical sets.
