For almost any sport, that's an enormous success—roughly double the average NBA Finals audience. 📈

But when compared to boxing's biggest modern spectacle, the difference is impossible to ignore. Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson attracted an astonishing 108 MILLION global viewers on Netflix, becoming one of the most-watched combat sports events ever. 🤯

34 million proves the UFC is a global powerhouse, but it also highlights how much bigger the audience can become when a fight turns into a mainstream pop-culture event on a frictionless platform like Netflix.

Justin Gaethje produced one of the biggest wins of his career against Ilia Topuria, with many already counting him out but the veteran still had one final surge left in him.

That victory now opens up several potential paths for both Gaethje and the UFC.

Justin has a genuine opportunity, if he doesn’t choose to retire as champion, to cash in on a late career run and maximize the biggest fights available. One of the most marketable options in that scenario is Conor McGregor.

If McGregor gets past Max Holloway and decides to drop back down to lightweight, the UFC would almost certainly push to make that matchup happen.

It would be one of the biggest comeback stories in combat sports history, while also potentially allowing Conor to avoid a stylistically dangerous clash with Ilia Topuria.

Styles make fights, and in many ways, this version of the matchup could actually suit McGregor.

Max looks huge, recent sparring clips make him look almost like a natural welterweight.

Conor McGregor also seems sharp and locked in. People are even saying he’s cut back on media duties (like ESPN and other interviews) to fully focus on training.

This fight would definitely be fireworks, even though I was initially skeptical and thought Max could be a tough stylistic matchup for Conor. Still, you can never count Conor out.

Justin Gaethje has confirmed that he won't fight again until the end of the year.

After already competing twice in 2026, he believes it's time to take a well-earned break. That effectively rules out a title fight with Arman Tsarukyan this year.

Arman has previously said he doesn't want to sit on the sidelines for too long, although his main focus remains the undisputed lightweight title.

That said, he's also shown interest in fighting for the BMF belt and even hinted earlier this year at a possible showdown with Charles Oliveira in September.

From what I've heard, Charles Oliveira is still open to a rematch with Arman Tsarukyan.

A rematch between Arman Tsarukyan and Charles Oliveira could take place at UFC 331 as the co-main event to Volkanovski vs. Evloev.

Can Arman beat Charles Oliveira this time and earn another shot at the undisputed title? 😶‍🌫️
