“Hints of Hearts”
Mixed media on Yupo pasted on board, 18” x 18”

This image started with red, then the oil pastels literally yelled “ what about using me?” Then pale violet Michael Harding oil paint arrived, demanding use, virtually straight from the tube.
Thank goodness sometimes the paints can talk and sometimes I can hear them.

I think the holiday spirit, color-wise, was still with me when I painted this last month. Unfortunately the holiday spirit of eating cookies at every chance was too. So far it’s been a cookie-free February.
