Architecture and interior design practice Reutov Design has proposed a brightly colored, Mexican apartment in New York city. featuring Terracotta pink and green hues, the interiors seem to be taken out of an instagram post, where designer furniture meets a cactus-infused landscape. ‘the owners of the apartment are a young couple that completely entrusted Reutov Design with the design of the apartment. having taken this project, we decided to create a bold project that will give them the opportunity to forget about everyday life and help them take a break from the noisy metropolis.’

The Door Stopper Designed by Hanqui

The 2oor Stopper is a twist on the door stopper unlike any other. The flexible band lays flat against the surface of the door to ensure it’s out of the way when not being used. To activate the stopper, one must simply unsnap it from the door. The flexed design will automatically snap into place to secure the door in position by gripping the floor. Its arch will also prevent the door from slamming against and damaging walls. Minimalistic yet vibrant, it’s also a stylish detail that provides a pop of color to any office, bedroom, or other space.

Quelle Fête represents a playful image of past glory, a melancholic reminder of the glamour nights of disco. It is also a very visual metaphor of times gone by. The amorphous shapes are covered, through painstaking handwork, with a carefully arranged glittering skin of mirrored glass tiles. The once iconic shape of the disco ball is reborn with new character and meaning in an ode to the happy days of way back when.

Yukiko Morita Cooks up a naan clock made from real bread

It was inspired by Salvador Dali's masterpiece, "The Clinging of Memory," aka "The Soft Clock. He describes the image of the past time fading and dissolving in memory as a "soft clock."

The contradiction created by making the clock, a measure of time, ambiguous, raises questions about the busy days when we are so busy that we are pressed for time. I hope you will laugh at the result, though I have tried to make it sound complicated!
