Its a funny thing painting wildlife in my Brooklyn studio. Although I do hear the occasional dove and plenty of pigeon roosting nearby, most of my “natural sounds” are semi trucks, honking and music from the cars down below my studio. It really does feel like painting in the concrete jungle, a place radiating energy. I’ve honestly grown very accustomed to the tune of the city and feel it helps to spur on paintings celebrating the wild found elsewhere. Sound on to hear what I hear.
