“2Pac - Dear Mama” | Mother’s Day Dedication 💐❤️🫶🏾🫂
I saw in an interview while looking for inspiration for this CarTune, where Afeni Shakur said that, she knows Pac made this song for her, but she also knows it was for all mothers. For all the mothers who struggled, sacrificed and gave their all for their child while still trying to navigate their own lives in this world. The strong women who give their best EVEN when not at their best. I wanted to use this post to give flowers 💐 to some of the important mothers in my life, young and seasoned. Some, friends I’ve gained on this road called life, others aunts and relatives who assisted my mother in making the man I am proud to be today, and for my mom, words can’t express how grateful I am for you, THANK YOU! 🙏🏾 So this one goes out to those indescribably strong and beautiful women. Even if you think no one notices, I PROMISE I DO, but even more your child does. You are superheroes and you are APPRECIATED! Today was one for you! Here’s your flowers 💐 🙏🏾💙🙏🏾💐 Happy Mother’s Day!
S/N: IMMA NEED AFENI’S NAME MENTIONED IN MORE HISTORY BOOKS!!! 🗣️🗣️‼️‼️ While doing research for this song, I discovered SO DAMN MUCH about this amazing woman. Former Black Panther, for one, who was arrested and faced up to 300 years of imprisonment, ALL WHILE PREGNANT with her son who would later become a king to a genre of music that drove the very message she fought for. And to add on she made the decision to represent herself in court with no legal background AT ALL, telling her appointed lawyer that she would rather represent herself because the lawyer’s voice didn’t demand enough respect. Talk about BOSS MOVES!! With all odds stacked against her, she rose to the standards (shiddd, FAR BEYOND if you ask me 🤷🏾‍♂️💁🏾‍♂️) and won, acquitting herself and other members that were arrested with her!! Bra, WHY WASN’T I TAUGHT THIS IN THIS JANKY EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM?!?!?? But then again the answer lies in the question itself 😒… sorry bout that yall just had to go on a short rant cause literally wtf 🧐

“The things I do for LOVE!” 🐶👻🏚️ 🏜️| : Character Studies ✍️📖 : This show was peak horror for someone of my very low tolerance of the genre as a kid 😅 (momma ain’t raise no b****, it just ain’t for me 💁🏾‍♂️😌😂), had just the righhht amount of scary and the righhht amount of funny 👌🏾😌. My dog Courage was literally goin through HELL for the squad 😭😭 And we appreciate ya for it brudda, your real one! ✊🏾 S/N: y’all vibing with the full character sheets or nah? 🤔 Felt like showing y’all a few of the actual study sketches for getting the feel of a character, what y’all think?
For the sake of trying to have a cover done by Halloween (seems impossible now ngl, but imma still give it my best 😅😤😎), I’m going to be doing the cover digitally. Makes for less stressing over application of irreversible marks 🫠😌 lol, but I am having a lot of fun with this, nonetheless 💁🏾‍♂️🙂‍↕️. I think this is the first time I’ve tried drawing with the perspective of making a “gag” manga, not to mention the horror/spooky factor is great practice for future projects (iykyk 😏). Not too sure what villains I’m gonna do a study of (or any for that matter) because there’s JUST SO MANY 😭 I’m probably just gonna save em for the Volume Cover illustration 💁🏾‍♂️. But for now, I. NEED. SLEEP 🫠🚶🏾‍♂️‍➡️🛌 Peace out for now folks! ✌🏾

Had to get this one out of the way for the character study I wanted to try my hand at for this Halloween Week 😏 Any guesses as to who it might be? I’ll give you a few hints, it’s definitely still a Cartoon Network show and honestly, I consider him Cartoon Network’s Spooky King and lastly… 👻👽🦆🏜️
