The Perfect Storm
They say God was showing off, and I believe it—
this body, this breath, this unbroken thread
spun from the grit of those who came before.
I am their answered prayer, their silent vow,
the storm they saw gathering on a distant shore.
I do not whisper. I arrive, unapologetic,
a brilliant collision of light and thunder,
boots on the ground, the first line drawn
in the dirt for the ones who come after,
for the ones who carried me here, undaunted.
My life, a tapestry of hardships worn like jewels,
each fight a stitch, each scar a signature.
They see the perfect picture—and they are not wrong.
I am a perfect storm, meticulously crafted,
a legacy made flesh, loud and belonging.
So let the moments come, the small and the seismic.
I greet them all with the same fierce gratitude.
This breathtaking, brutal, brilliant existence—
I am not merely living it.
I am the story, the telling, the breathless truth.
For every battle, whether mountain or molehill,
feeds the purpose I was gifted to hold.
I rise each day to earn the me I am building,
a life I respect, a vow I keep,
a fire my ancestors lit, and I make bold.

And I will live out loud until the very end,
a grateful, glorious, unapologetic form—
the mantle held, the battle fought,
