At a pivotal time in my life, I found myself standing at a crossroads — faced with two passageways that felt capable of changing my life forever. During this period of uncertainty, I felt an immense pull to create, which ultimately led me to these ceramic wall sculptures.
Ceramics are fragile by nature, and for years I’ve felt a desire to create larger and bolder works. Inspired by the limitations and possibilities of clay, I began constructing these pieces through individual tiles — fragments joined together, allowing the work to expand beyond what a single ceramic form could hold.
Influenced by the shapes and structures of old iron gates, these works reflect transition, choice, and the passageways we take in life.
Relic, Crossroads, and Portal mark the beginning of a new world within my practice — one that feels bigger, bolder, and deeply instinctual.
