We can’t believe that New Windsor Community Day 2026 is a wrap! What an incredible day we had!!!
Seeing thousands of people fill Kristi Babcock Memorial Park yesterday enjoying the vendors, food, rides, activities, live music, helicopter & hot air balloon rides and an awesome fireworks show, made all the work that went into this day worth it.
THANK YOU to everyone who came out and spent the day with us! Seeing the park packed with people having a great time making memories is exactly WHY we do this. 💯❤️
A VERY BIG thank-you goes to our 2026 SPONSORS. Our sponsors do so much more than put their names on a sign. Their generous support helps us bring the entertainment, activities and experiences to Community Day that thousands of people enjoy. It allows us to keep growing the event, trying new things and making Community Day better each year for you.
An extra-special BOOM of a thank-you to MHE Engineering, our 2026 Fireworks Sponsor, for helping us end the night with that incredible show! 🎆
We also want to shine an extra light on our Victory Sponsors: Orange County Municipal Tourism Grant, Global Partners, Knox Village, MDS HVAC-R, Inc., Morehead Honda and RE/MAX Benchmark Realty Group and our Proud Patriot Sponsor, ShopRite of Vails Gate!
Overall, we are incredibly fortunate to have businesses and organizations in and around New Windsor willing to invest in an event that brings our whole community together, and we truly appreciate EVERY SINGLE sponsor who supported Community Day this year: https://newwindsorcommunityday.com/Sponsors
We sincerely appreciate Town Supervisor Stephen Bedetti and our New Windsor Town Board, Steve Moreau, Sylvia Santiago, Mike Schwartz and Charlie Broe, for continuing to support Community Day and ensuring we have the resources needed to put on an event of this size.
We also want to recognize Town Clerk Patty Clarino, Tax Collector Sue Scheible, Town Justices Eve Lincoln and Noreen Calderin, and Highway Superintendent Anthony Fayo for serving our community, day in and day out.
Our Recreation staff, Buildings & Grounds staff and New Windsor Police Department put in an extraordinary amount of work before, during and after Community Day. There is SO much happening before anyone ever sees a tent go up in the park: contracts, insurance, purchasing, registration, sponsors, vendors, maps, schedules, logistics, emergency response, permits, parking, signs, equipment, setup, technology, cleanup and about 9,247 other little things in between. 😂 This day simply cannot happen without each of those departments and we are SO GRATEFUL.
Another big thank-you to New Windsor EMS, Vails Gate Fire Department and New Windsor Fire Department for keeping everyone safe and healthy while also jumping in and being part of the fun with families and neighbors. No easy feat! They always sacrifice so much with their time and we clearly see that.
We also have an incredible group of booth vendors, food vendors, performers and outside companies that we work with. Many have been part of Community Day for years and continue to work with us as the event grows and changes. We value those existing relationships and also welcome new folks each year, too!
The Town of New Windsor has been working together on Community Day for almost two decades now. We have watched it grow, learned a lot along the way, and each year we stay open to trying something new or making changes that we think will help the day run even better. An event this size is never going to be exactly perfect, but we are always working to get pretty darn close!
THANK YOU FOR BEING PART OF IT ALL!!! ❤️
See you in 2027!
