🎨🏙️ If you're on East 2nd Street, you can't miss the biggest chalk city in town!
A huge shoutout to Kristen, Jeremy, and Leif for their incredible creativity and hard work bringing this colorful masterpiece to life. Their chalk city has become a fun stop for everyone passing by!

Our City Planner even stopped over to admire their work—and maybe pick up a few ideas for future community projects. After seeing all the planning and attention to detail, we're starting to think Leif might just be New Richmond's future City Planner! 😊

Thanks for making our community a little brighter and reminding us that big ideas can start with a little imagination and a box of chalk.

🚧 Annual Chip Sealing Road Maintenance 🚧

St. Croix County crews have begun crack filling in New Richmond as part of their annual road maintenance program. Chip sealing is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4. This preventative maintenance helps extend the life of our roads, improves driving surfaces, and saves money by reducing the need for more costly repairs in the future.

✅ Please use caution when driving through work zones.
🚗 Slow down to protect road crews and help prevent loose gravel from damaging your vehicle.
📍 Check the map to see which roads are scheduled for maintenance.

🚶‍♂️👟In the month of June, 72 City staff members joined a friendly steps challenge. Together, we walked 9,700 miles… that’s enough to walk to Buenos Aires! (Don’t worry, we stayed close enough to still answer your calls and emails.) Why did we do it? Because a healthy team helps build a healthy community—and, let’s be honest, a little friendly competition never hurts anyone’s step count. And in true competitive fashion, the Electric Department team with a couple of marathon runners on their crew “walked” away with the win. (If you know them, you’re probably not surprised.)

✨ Pardon our dust—Downtown New Richmond is getting a real glow-up! ✨

Construction on the downtown lighting project began last Monday morning, and progress is underway. Crews have removed concrete panels along the east side of Knowles Avenue and have taken down the existing light poles.

We know construction can be an inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate the patience and understanding of our downtown business owners, residents, and visitors as this project moves forward. The improvements will help create a brighter, more welcoming downtown for everyone.

If you've already returned your absentee ballot and the candidate you voted for later drops out of the race, you cannot spoil your ballot and vote again. Wisconsin law does not allow a "do-over" in this situation.

We're receiving questions about water issues in some nearby communities. While New Richmond is not experiencing any water supply issues, these hot temperatures have increased water demand.

We encourage everyone to conserve water where possible by limiting outdoor watering, watering early in the morning or evening, and alternating days when possible.
