“What does it take to own a business?”

Yeah, hard work… but that word doesn’t even touch it.

It’s being selfless. It’s being exhausted. It’s pouring everything into something that feels unrewarding most days. It’s having to hype yourself up and remind yourself, “YOU ARE A BAD ASS BITCH” when nobody else is clapping for you.

You cannot do this for rewards or recognition. You have to do it because you genuinely love building something bigger than yourself. 🔥

Truth is — people can tell when you genuinely care. If you want people to keep coming through your doors, you have to give a s**t about your clients, your customers, and your community. Show love, create connection, and people will remember how you made them feel. 🖤

Shannon Mitchell was one of the very first teachers I ever hired, and she’s been here through every high, low, chaos, rebuild, and new beginning. She’s seen every version of me and never gave up on me. 🖤

Lacey PAC should’ve never closed the first time… but honestly, I’m thankful it did. Rebuilding it now, in this season of my life, has made it better than I ever could’ve imagined.

Opening the studio ASAP meant long nights, nonstop problems, and figuring things out as we went. When you’re building a business, there’s no waiting around for the perfect moment — you work your ass off, handle whatever gets thrown at you, and make it happen no matter what. 🔥

Okayyyy sooo this episode got completely buried in dance recital chaos 😅

We dropped it literally days before our huge recital weekend and between costumes, rehearsals, backstage insanity, and surviving pure exhaustion… it never got the attention it deserved.

After 4 years of trying to force myself into “normal” jobs, I finally realized something… I’m unemployable 😂
Not because I can’t work — because I can’t live my life letting someone else control my time, creativity, and purpose.

I was never meant for the 9-5 life. I was meant to build my own. 👏

Tried out the Post Office -
Loved it - until I had a s**tty boss -
Put in to have time off for my wedding ... and he accepted the time off and then denied it later ...
So I did what any self-respecting, fed-up woman would do — I packed my stuff up and said ✌️ I’m done.
That moment was the beginning of me realizing I will never let someone else control my life, my time, or my worth ever again.
Some people are built for the 9–5… I am not one of them!!!
