After a couple days of cleaning and organizing, today I was looking for anything but cleaning to occupy my day. So when I saw a box of beads and jewelry making stuff that one of my girls had out, it just called to me. (I’m kinda a raccoon like that.) I haven’t made these in years and they are extremely time consuming, but if you love mindless projects...this is a great one to try. The original kit that included the loom was one that the kids got for a gift at some point (hence the purple plastic 😂). It does the job just fine and I just used my own seed beads. Also, just noting that people that bead for a living must be saints and have extreme patience! 😂

So today I took this awesome old laundry basket and stand that I found at a local antique store...and fixed it up. After cleaning it the inside was still a little grimy. Since I don’t want to hurt the chippy paint, I decided to line it. I bought a yard and a half of inexpensive fabric and just tacked it in. I’m by NO means an upholsterer, but it did the trick! Now I can store my blankets in there! And I only bent 3 tacks! 😂

Well I may not be sewing quite as much these days....but I'm still keeping busy with lots of other fun projects! This is one I've wanted to do forever! It's just one of the fun, southern quips I grew up hearing! Reminds me where I'm from. Some of the letters I bought already done....but others I painted. Just got it hung today!
