WE'RE HIRING!!!

The Wild Arts Collective is seeking to hire three interns to join our team for the upcoming fall season! We're looking for help with Photo/Video Editing, Marketing and Admin work and are excited to provide compensation in the form of professional flying trapeze and aerial arts training at a rate of one hour of work for one hour of training (valued at $37.50/hour). ART SHOW IN THE GARDEN THIS WEEKEND!!

Is transparency a weakness or a superpower?

In these digitally-centered, chaotic and unthinkable times, we explore what it means to have a voice with a dive into the tangible. We invite you to be here, grounded in this fruitful garden with us. Step away from static noise, look closely and curiously, and listen deeply to the voices large and small whispering, shouting, “Do you hear me? Do you see me? Do you dare?”

LENSCAPES / transparent voices is a group show featuring works by Merrit Barnwell, Cassady Rose Bonjo, Madeline Grace, Dylan Karle, Amelia Modlin, Annie Sarachan, and the Ukrainian Artist Collective Arte. Visit on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 12-7 PM (Rain date Sunday 5/29) at the Wild Arts Collective Garden Gallery on Stone Mountain Farm in New Paltz, NY.

THIS WEEKEND! SAT & SUN 12-7 PM

Our first Garden Gallery show of the season kicks off with artist Haley Clancy Inyart displaying drawings on handmade paper.

"Memories from the Abyss" consists of abstract drawings on handmade paper with colored pencil and gouache. These works reference our environments uncertain future with warming temperatures and more frequent natural disasters each year on an over populated planet.

Come explore the wonder of the Garden juxtaposed with Haley's profound drawings, it is sure to be an explorative show. (And if that weren't enough incentive, the Rail Trail Cafe opens for the season this weekend as well!) See you in the dirt 🌱

PROMPT
Seeking work that plays with light/opacity/transparency/translucency in relation to voices that go unheard. Why are they quiet?

PARAMETERS
⁃ The work must consider interaction with the elements as it will be up for 4 seasons outdoors
⁃ The work must consider scale and it’s relation to our expansive Garden Gallery space
⁃ All artistic mediums are welcome, performance-based mediums will take place on Opening Day/Night
⁃ Showing fee: sliding scale $44-$111
⁃ Work can be sold at the show, Wild Arts does not take any commission
⁃ Please submit sketches or ideas to [email protected] by April 15, including a plan for installation.
⁃ As we are a community-run space, Artists in the show are expected to install their own work in the space and be present to co-host the show Opening Day (if you need special accommodations, let us know). Lodging is available on site.
