The Known Mass project, directed by Ann Glaviano, comprises a loose gathering of dancers & musicians in New Orleans who are creating their own opportunities. The project is aesthetically motivated by devised theatre and DIY punk traditions. Known Mass hosts a biweekly contact improv jam on Sundays (630-8pm) at Dancing Grounds (3705 St. We ask participants for a $5 donation to help pay for the studio rental. The jam is open to all, regardless of experience level.
