🌊 Summer is upon us.

With Nightlight Lakescape, Justin Gaffrey captures the feeling of a perfect summer night by the water. Through Gaffrey’s signature style of painting meets sculpture, you can almost feel the warm air and gentle waves, the perfect backdrop for memories made after sunset. Inspired by the coastal landscapes near his 30A studio, the work reflects the beauty of evenings spent along the shore. 🌊🌙

Available and now on view at Orleans Gallery, 603 Julia Street.

🎨 While in Venice, Tony Bernard did what he does best. He painted.

Venice on My Mind brings Tony’s iconic King George Pelican to Venice, complete with a blue oak and gondola atop his crown, joined by the winged lion, one of the city’s most enduring symbols. It’s a joyful meeting of Louisiana and Venice through Tony’s Cajun lens.

Beside it hangs A Palette of Venice, the very palette Tony used while painting Venice on My Mind en plein air, on a picturesque canal as Gondolas passed, just steps from Palazzo Mora, where his Mr. Bojangles is currently on view. Painted on the palette itself, the work captures the scene before him and serves as both a tool and a record of the moment, preserving the place where artist and city met.

Come view From the Mississippi to the Grand Canal, featuring works created for and inspired by Venice! 🇮🇹

For Her Way, His Way, Andrew LaMar Hopkins reimagined one of the late Clementine Hunter’s most iconic paintings, Zinnias, creating a work that honors her vision while speaking in his own unmistakable voice. The result is both tribute and transformation. This show is a celebration of two Louisiana artists connected by a shared love of color, storytelling, and the beauty found in everyday life.

Join us TONIGHT at Orleans Gallery for an encore presentation of Her Way, His Way, alongside From the Mississippi to the Grand Canal, featuring studies created for and inspired by our artists’ journey to Venice, and José María Cundín’s Declaration of Independence exhibition.

Join us Saturday, June 6, from 5–8 PM for José María Cundín: The Unanimous Declaration, 1776-2026. 🇺🇸

Before there was Orleans Gallery on Julia Street, there was the original Orleans Gallery on Royal Street. This month, José María Cundín returns for a special, limited show.

This exhibition features his legendary hand-engraved edition of the Declaration of Independence—considered one of the finest reproductions ever produced—alongside flags exploring freedom, identity, and the American experience.

🐻 Well, the bear is out of the bag…

We’re thrilled to finally share that a new public sculpture by fnnch is on its way.

Following the incredible response to Second Line Bear, fnnch is once again bringing his signature honey bear to Louisiana adding to the band!

A special thank you to Axios for helping break the news and shining a spotlight on this exciting project and to Henry Shane for backing it. We can’t wait to share more details in the weeks ahead.

Stay tuned. This one’s going to be sweet. 🍯✨
