I just watched this TMZ interview with a popular exorcist talking about what he sees as a rise in demonic attacks. I decided to share it because it touches on something important While there were several things in the interview I strongly disagreed with (some of the comments about Satanism were frankly offensive and painted with a very black and white brush, especially considering we live in a country with freedom of religion), the core conversation about spiritual consequences caught my attention.
Here is what I want to say clearly: This level of work is not for everyone.
You do not dabble in occultism. You do not randomly make deals or pacts with spirits just because you saw someone else get results or because you paid money or time and now feel they owe you. That mindset is exactly how people get themselves into serious trouble.
Occultism and the Left Hand Path are exactly that. A path. If you step off your own path or treat these ancient forces like a vending machine for your desires, you risk creating real problems for yourself.
Demons are real. The relationships you form with them are real. And like any deep relationship, they require honesty, consistency, respect, and clear boundaries. But if you are called to this work, do it properly. Respect the spirits. Respect the process.
Demons do attack. This guy is correct. Removing demonic possession isn't just a single swishing of a wand. Removing spirits from families and homes is also very difficult.
One of the biggest issues I see is how the Catholic system (and much of the Abrahamic worldview) lumps all demons together as one single evil entity. Demons and spirits are not one-dimensional. They have many aspects, just like the gods and goddesses in other traditions.
Take the goddess , for example. She is a fierce warrior who destroys ignorance and evil. She can appear terrifying, wearing a garland of skulls and standing on the bodies of the slain. Yet she is also the loving, protective mother who hugs her devotees, grants them wisdom, and helps them face their own darkness so they can grow. Depending on why you call her and how you approach her, she can be a destroyer, a teacher, a fierce guardian, or a gentle mother. The same being can kill what needs to die and cradle you in compassion.
This is true for so many spirits and demons we work with. They are complex. They have different faces and different purposes.
People outside of occultism often do not understand this because they do not want to know. It is easier to keep everything in black and white categories than to sit with the reality that spiritual beings, like humans, contain multitudes.
That is why I always say this work is not for everyone. If you approach demons with the same fear-based, one-dimensional thinking that many religions teach, you will create problems for yourself. But if you come with respect, clear intent, and a willingness to build an actual relationship, you open the door to something far more powerful and real.
I will keep saying it because I care about people not getting hurt.
