UPDATE PART DEUX:
WellI was hoping to be back to work making y’all beautiful items and dropping some new pieces but my leg had other plans 😭.

Was rushed to the ER for the fourth time in a week on Wednesday because the pain kept getting worse and my blood pressure skyrocketed.

I’ve been officially diagnosed with Cellulitis of the right thigh (where my stitches are) and sepsis. I’m now on an intense course of IV antibiotics and will be staying in the hospital until the 26th and possibly longer. As such there will be more delays on orders, but I am working on getting some extra help while I’m on bedrest!

If I can take the brand hat off for a second and speak to my fellow Black femmes and women, please, PLEASE advocate for yourself when in these medical spaces! Be pushy. Be persistent, get second and third opinions if you know in your heart something is wrong.

It took me going to the ER 4 times to convince folks that something was completely off about my sutures. Had I listened to them and continued taking oral antibiotics that clearly weren’t working… I might not be here. Sepsis kills.

I’m really glad that I am getting the proper care now so that I can heal and get back to doing what I love! But it was a painful, stressful, road full of a lot of gaslighting to get here.

LIFE/BUSINESS UPDATE:

Hey loves! So I had a bike accident Monday that left my left leg full of stitches🙃. Recovery is taking a little longer than expected ( not really,I’m just stubborn/delulu and really though I’d be back in the studio today) so I’m going to take the remainder of the week to heal up. As such, orders will be slightly delayed and my communication will be a little sparse! I’m grateful it wasn’t worse and I should be able to recover with no significant damage.
