About Studio BE:
Since 2016, StudioBE has developed itself as a landmark and cultural destination in New Orleans. A space for the local community and the culture that comes from it, and a welcomed space for visitors across the globe - a place all those voices go to sharpen their critical voice and imagine a future that benefits us all. Through intentional programming, workshops, exhibitions, and
resource allocation, Studio BE’s mission is rooted in the belief that the blueprint for a better tomorrow lives in the collective imagination. Our work serves to promote the advancement of artists and engage in society’s most urgent questions. Brandan “BMike” Odums is a New Orleans-based visual artist who, through exhibitions, public programs, and public art works, is engaged in a transnational dialogue about the intersection of art and resistance. From film to murals to installations, Odums’ work encapsulates the political fervor of a generation of Black American activists who came of age amidst the tenure of the nation’s first Black president, the resurgence of popular interest in law enforcement violence, and the emergence of the self-care movement. About Eternal Seeds:
Eternal Seeds is a community-based nonprofit, founded by Brandan BMike Odums and the StudioBE Team, that serves artists in New Orleans. We center all of our work around education, empowerment, and the preservation of New Orleans Black history and culture, with a focus on young and emerging artists. Harnessing the power of creative expression and community, we provide young and emerging artists with tools they need to become the revolutionary leaders and shapers of a more just, equitable, and artful world.
