Grant Nelson Artist Grant Nelson Artwork Grant Nelson was born and raised in a fun loving family in Illinois, and was more interested in hockey as a boy than the Arts.

Son to a musician father and an entrepreneur mother, Grant and his brother were exposed to their bohemian lifestyle, often traveling or camping, when not being dragged to the theatre,the symphony or latest gallery opening. Little did he know just how much of these experiences would later influence his life and ultimately further his career. After a life changing car accident took away his ability

to play hockey, art took the front seat, and it was then that his artistic vision came into focus. "I don't create art to shock or even to persuade people. Instead, I create vivid, abstract, pieces that depict emotions and the way we are guided by them throughout our daily lives" -Grant Nelson
