The best way to support the arts is voting for candidates that support the arts.

This is why we are voting for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
Donald Trump has tried to eliminate the National Endowment for the Arts three years in a row. A vote for Biden is a vote for supporting the arts in Louisiana and across our nation.

VOTE THIS TUESDAY! Your voice is more powerful than ever!

TONIGHT Arts Spot Productions with Moscow Nights presents INSULTED. BELARUS(SIA), a contemporary play written by Belarus playwright Andrei Kureichik and translated into English by John Freedman. Performed by Claudia Baumgarten, Casey Groves, Andrew Larimer, Kevin Macku, Emily Russell, Andy Vaught and Kathy Randels.

Follow seven real people whose lives intersect in the days following Belarus' presidential election on August 9th, 2020. Kureichik wrote the play while in hiding and is now in exile.

Moscow Nights is one of more than 70 theatre organizations presenting versions of the play worldwide, the global theatre community standing in solidarity against the theatre ban imposed by Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko.

TONIGHT Monday, October 26th at 8pm for a virtual reading of this important and timely work. https://cts.vresp.com/c/?ArtSpotProductions/a2c1baafd1/aeee87e249/8fe307927c

We firmly stand with the artists and workers of DismantleNOMA and DismantleWWII. We will not promote any work, performance, or event at the New Orleans Museum of Art, BB's Stage Door Canteen, and the WWII museum until the artists' demands are met. We ask all theatre and dance companies to do the same. We urge every company who works with these institutions to stand in solidarity with the artists and workers of New Orleans.

Stand up, New Orleans Theatre and Dance! Choose people over profits!

“The entertainment industry is on RED ALERT! In March, live events, theater, trade shows, and motion picture and television production were completely shut down across the country to slow the spread of COVID-19. Behind the scenes workers want to get back to work in their specialized crafts, but the pandemic has made it unsafe to do so until further notice. The nearly 12 million workers employed by the industry were the first to lose work, and will likely be the last to return.

The first round of COVID-19 relief legislation passed in the CARES Act was largely successful in providing a lifeline for these workers, however, many important provisions have since lapsed. Yet, the industry continues to be decimated, and behind-the-scenes workers are going bankrupt and dying. We must act NOW.

The September 1st Red Alert Day of Action is all about making our voices heard in the halls of Congress and around this country. Will you join us and urge elected officials to pass a comprehensive set of provisions that help protect the people who make American culture happen?” ~IATSE Advocacy

New Orleans Box Office, Run by KosmoSmash

Ever heard of a pop-up kitchen? Well New Orleans Box Office is a Pop-Up Theatre Box Office! With over 20 operating theatre companies KosmoSmash wanted to create a hub of information on theatre and dance to help spread the word and raise visibility for performing arts in NOLA.

We pop up at art markets, school fairs, festivals, events, cafes, and shops around town promoting NOLA theatre and selling tickets to shows currently playing. We also have an online calendar and forum to distribute information virtually, connecting performing arts to the community.

KosmoSmash is committed to spreading the awareness and accessibility of theatre, created and produced by local artists, to the greater New Orleans area. We strive to be inclusive to all companies, producing entities, and individual artists.
