For those just learning about this legend, Krampus is a frightening, goat-like beast that travels with St. His job is to punish the naughty boys and girls while St. Nicholas deals with the nice ones. It’s not a surprise that with so many people here in New Orleans who are naughty or mischievous that Krampus would pay the city a visit. Actually, with Krampus it’s more than likely that he will just decide to call New Orleans home. Join us as we all welcome Krampus to New Orleans since its unlikely he has any plans of going away any time soon. The Krewe of Krampus is a Krewe for enthusiasts of the legend, anyone that loves the holiday season, or people that love the idea of a legendary figure just for the naughty folks. Plus who doesn’t love a reason to celebrate in New Orleans?

What a great time yesterday hanging with friends old and new. Lots of new faces came out to see what the Krewe of Krampus is all about.

It is exactly 184 days until Krampus Day (celebrated as Krampusnacht on the night of December 5).

We are excited for our 10th parade on December 5. Stay tuned for some announcements as we celebrate The Year of the Krampus and count down to our biggest season yet.

Marking our 10th parade since the krewe was founded in 2015, this year will be filled with special events, new traditions, and a few surprises along the way.

Alpine Luau Vibe
Who says you have to choose between the mountains and the islands?

One of our favorite looks is the Alpine Luau mashup. Think tropical shirts paired with lederhosen, flower leis with alpine hats, hiking socks with sandals, faux fur with beachwear or anything else that feels like it shouldn't work but somehow does.

The Island of Misfits is all about creative expression and some of the best outfits come from combining two worlds that were never meant to meet.
