1996 Hunchback of Notre Dame 🏰

On June 19th, 1996 Disney’s animated film The Hunchback of Notre Dame held its world premiere here inside of the Louisiana Superdome. It was one of the most elaborate and massive movie premieres in history, featuring a crowd of over 65,000 attendees. The event kicked off with a massive "Festival of Fun" parade that wound through the French Quarter from Jackson Square. It featured dozens of parade floats and Disney cast members brought in from Walt Disney World. The Superdome completely transformed into a massive indoor theater. It utilized six colossal screens and what was, at the time, the largest indoor stage ever built. Were you in this crowd? 👀
