We're proud to announce Funk for All—a new community ticket initiative underwritten by Funky Tucks that will provide 600 complimentary tickets to the 2026 NOLA Funk Fest for New Orleans-area residents who otherwise couldn't afford to attend.

Rather than distributing tickets directly, we're partnering with the nonprofits, schools, churches, neighborhood organizations, social aid and pleasure clubs, and community groups already serving our city every day. These trusted organizations can apply to receive tickets for the people they know would benefit most.

Funk for All is about making sure the music born in our churches, neighborhoods, second lines, and front porches remains connected to the people who made it.

In addition to the 600 community tickets, Funky Tucks is partnering with Grace at the Green Light to welcome 225 unhoused guests to this year's festival—bringing the total number of complimentary admissions to 825 local residents.

If your organization serves people facing financial barriers to attending NOLA Funk Fest, we encourage you to apply.

The Essential Funkers ticket is a discounted General Admission ticket for the people who keep our funky world going! Once inside the gate, all ticket holders are able to enjoy multiple stages, cultural activations, vendors, and bars.

In 1989, the Neville Brothers teamed up with producer Daniel Lanois, whose groundbreaking work with U2 and Peter Gabriel had already made him one of the most sought-after producers in music.
Rather than trying to reinvent the band, Lanois immersed himself in New Orleans, setting up a temporary recording studio in an old Uptown building where the musicians lived and recorded together. The sessions produced a warm, immersive sound that highlighted the band's New Orleans roots while expanding their musical reach.
The result was Yellow Moon, the Neville Brothers' most celebrated album. Its closing track, "Healing Chant," earned the Neville Brothers the 1990 Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance.
More than three decades later, Yellow Moon remains one of the defining albums of New Orleans music, introducing generations of listeners around the world to the city's rich musical heritage.
