Hi everyone I took some time a few weeks back to develop an entry for Programancer's Retrograde Jam on itch.io

My game is called Crystar. It's designed in a Sega Game Gear style. I wasn't able to complete it but its playable.

It's been awhile, but we've got a new class. I added this one due to the story needing miners in battle. So here is the Miner Class. The abilities are still in the works (but I'm open to suggestions)

Happy Saturday! Just a quick status update. I'm finalizing the map data for the game. Below is a comparison of the old beta test map which is being replaced with the new larger maps. The new maps are 16x larger so more room to explore!

Hey guys I haven't posted in a while, but I shifted gears away from new features, game code, or music, as I've found a writer to complete the main scenario and I want to freeze more additions until the story is complete. In the meantime as things solidify story-wise, I'll post updates on the story's progress without giving it away.

Check out the Hoplite class. They are tanks with shield abilities that can absorb/reflect magic. Having multiple hoplites in your party increases their attack & defense. I haven't finished the designs so i decided to post multiple versions let me know which ones you like!

Today let's have a look at the Gladiator class. They specialize in many weapon types Including, Spears, Swords, Knives Bows, Axes and Hammers. One of their abilities "Glory" allows them to increase their damage for each successful attack that lands. They also get an Auria (money) bonus for killing enemies, and have special attacks that unlock based on kill counts.

The Trapper class can set various traps for the enemy that stop them from acting, deal continuous damage throughout the battle, and many other effects.

Today we have the Slinger, this niche class specializes in slings, which unlike bows can fire any item, and deal extra damage to "Giant" type enemies. The "Launch" ability shoots projectiles that randomly rain down on enemies the during the next turn.

Today let's have a look at the Raider class. They specialize in crossbows & spears. One of their abilities "Hostage" allows them to kidnap an enemy to take damage in place of party members. Beware though, a failed kidnapping will result in damage to the kidnapper.

Today I'd like to feature the Scout Class. They specialize in axes and bows and knives. One of their abilities "Scout's Sight" allows them to act first at the start of battles. They can also reduce the chance of sneak attacks by the enemy.

Today's class reveal is the Shaman. This powerful class can use items to enter a Trance state for special effects. They also specialize in boomerangs that can hit twice after being thrown.

Today I'm featuring the Eagle Knight. I really like the sprite design of this class. They have the ability to do diving eagle attacks, and have improved hit rates towards "beast" type enemies.
