Lefty Lucy began Art Modeling in 2013 at the Society of Illustrators in New York, and took to it like a fish to water. The combination of a lifetime studying art and theater gave her a mastery of creating dynamic shapes for artists to draw. By January 2014, she was invited to produce a monthly Burlesque-inspired sketch night. Additionally, she modeled regularly for such prestigious universities an

d schools including SVA, FIT, and Pratt, as well as for various drawing groups across the Tri-State Area. After moving to New Orleans, she began working regularly for the New Orleans Academy of Art, Tulane University, and Xavier University, as well as for The Blue Easel Drawing Club and a multitude of private clubs and independent artists. FIGURE DRAWING STUDI-O

Learn how to draw the human figure using reliable, historic techniques in this four-session workshop. Students will focus on capturing proportion, movement and structure while drawing from a live n**e model. There will be demos and personalized critiques to help students heighten their technical skills while working from observation. Class instructed by teaching artist, Jonathan Hodge. All materials provided.

Participants must be 18 years or older.

Let's Art is returning for a special Sunday sketch night!

Visit on Facebook or Instagram on Sunday, November 27th at 6:30pmCT / 7:30pmET / 4:30pmPT ready to draw model Lefty Lucy as Columbia from the Rocky Horror Picture Show!

This is a completely free online sketch night, but donations are encouraged. 13% of any proceeds received will be shared with the 7th Ward Triangle Community Pantry in New Orleans.

For those who have joined in the past, you'll notice we're moving from Zoom to Meta. This is an effort to make the event more accessible to a larger group of people. If you've never participated in a live stream, here's how to:

On the date of the event, visit either https://www.facebook.com/LetsArtForever/ or on Instagram. The app will tell you once I have gone live, and you can click to join. From that point on, I'll begin with some warm-up poses all the way through a 20 minute set.

***SKETCH NIGHT CANCELED TONIGHT***
My sweet snuggly Dude, who often joins me on stage during Sketch night, is having some health issues today. He's at the vet currently, But with everything going on I am unable to host Sketch night this evening.

Pending no hurricanes or health issues, I will return on Tuesday August 30th for the last sketch night before September hiatus.
