Come for the art, stay for dinner. šŸ„‚

Over the past year, my work has taken a new shape.

Somewhere along the way while painting ā€œSave Me a Seatā€, I started envisioning a release that felt like more than a typical art show. It needed to bring together all the experiences that have found their way into these paintings.

Growing up in New Orleans around memorable meals and family recipes. Waiting tables through college. Years in event production. Live event painting. Designing tablescapes and gathering spaces.

When I look at this collection, all of those experiences feel intertwined.

The paintings are rooted in the moments that happen around a table—the conversations, celebrations, shared meals, and little rituals that bring people together.

So when it came time to plan my first solo exhibition, adding a dinner experience felt like a natural extension of the work itself.

On June 20, I’ll be sharing a new collection of original oil paintings during a public exhibition from 5–7 PM at Mother of Pearl in the Riverbend.

Come browse the collection, enjoy a glass of champagne, and spend some time with the artwork.
Then, for those who would like to continue the evening, we’ll gather around the table for an intimate seated dinner featuring a three-course menu, wine, beer, and specialty cocktails.

I’d love for you to join me, view the work, raise a glass, and celebrate the things that inspired these paintings in the first place.

Dinner seating is limited and advance tickets are required. Tickets are available through the link in my bio.

Sometimes the best art show setups are the ones that don’t go as planned. ā˜”ļøšŸ„‚

The day of Champagne Stroll started with torrential downpours… and the rain kept on coming.

The weather apps kept insisting there would probably be a break later, but standing outside looking at the sky? It did not look promising. šŸ˜‚ So I wrapped up my pieces and did an early art drop-off while I could at least secure a decent parking spot before unloading paintings in the rain became inevitable.

Originally, fellow pop-up artist and I were supposed to set up outside in the beautiful courtyard at , but once it became obvious the weather wasn’t improving, we quickly pivoted indoors and figured it out as we went.

I ended up in a narrow historic hallway gallery space with almost no traditional wall space to work with. After a little experimenting with picture ledges, a skinnier table setup, and rearranging things more times than I can count… I somehow ended up loving the final result.

A few paintings headed to my June solo show made their first little appearance alongside the small cocktail paintings I shared last week.

And despite the weather chaos, Magazine Street absolutely did not disappoint!

Once the rain finally stopped, so many people came out. Such a fun night full of conversations, familiar faces, new faces, and lots of art talk.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by — all I have are these few setup snaps before things got busy. šŸ„‚
