Tonight’s Concert on the Green featured CJ Live, a husband and wife duo, and was a collaboration between The New Milford Commission on the Arts and Brian Cody’s Brothers and Sisters Foundation for addiction recovery. Mayor Bass and chief of police Spencer Cerrutto spoke. A terrific night for a terrific cause. Thanks for those who turned out for our final concert of the season. See you all next year.

What an unforgettable performance by The Afro-Semitic Experience tonight. This incredible group merges African-American and Jewish musical traditions to create a soul-stirring blend of jazz, klezmer, gospel, funk, and world beat.

Huge thanks to the Buena Vista Band featuring Rick Reyes for bringing such incredible energy and talent to last night’s Arts Commission concert. We are so grateful to the Congregational Church for opening their doors and providing a beautiful indoor space when the weather forecast looked threatening. Most importantly, thank you to everyone who joined us. Your support made for a truly memorable evening of music, dance, and community.

From the first note to the final chords, the energy of Ace + Friends was contagious. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and plenty of new ones, dancing, singing along, and sharing the spirit that makes this music so timeless.

The next concert, featuring Buena Vista Band, will be on Saturday, August 8, at 7 pm.
