Important Announcement — Crossroads Music Fest
It is with great disappointment that we share that Crossroads Music Fest scheduled for today, August 14th, is canceled.
We know this is not the news anyone wants to hear, and we want you to know that this decision was not made lightly. We also know this is the second Crossroads we have had to cancel this season, and we understand how frustrating and disappointing that is. Believe us, we are just as disappointed as you are. We need the rain here in the Valley, but that doesn’t make canceling events any less sad!
There is a lot that goes into putting this event together behind the scenes. Our sound company and band begin setting up hours before the event, and there is a significant amount of equipment that has to be protected. We also have a responsibility to our musicians, vendors, crew, volunteers, and everyone who would be attending. At the time we have to make our call, this is what the weather forecast is showing for this evening, with about half an inch of rain expected during the event.
We have to look at the conditions not just for the few hours of the event itself, but for the people and equipment that have to be there hours before the music starts- both are showing rain!
We truly hate having to make this call. We know many of you have made plans, and we know how much our Crossroads family looks forward to these nights together. We don't take cancellations lightly, and we never want to disappoint you.
