Today was a very emotional day in Singing Eagles as we said goodbye to our seniors Athena, Chloe, and Ireasha!! I hope they’ve enjoyed this experience so much and we will miss them dearly! We can’t wait to see what you do!! See you Monday for the Pops Concert and next Friday for graduation!!

Congratulations to Katy Jo Higgerson for being selected to participate in the MCDA 9/10 Honor Choir this summer at the MCDA conference! She will perform on Tuesday, 7/14!

NMCC Choirs had a very successful day at contest!!!

NMCC Singing Eagles (Ireasha Winters, Crislyn Keene, Katy Jo Higgerson, Chloe Clark, Athena Carnell, Aneesa Rucker, Talise Gaskins, and Lilli Tanner) performed “Come in From the Firefly Darkness” by Amy Bernon and “Hold Fast to Dreams” by Susan LaBarr and got an Exemplary (I) rating and are headed to state to perform on April 30th at the University of Missouri campus!!🥇

Also congratulations to Katy Jo Higgerson, Braden Harbison, Ireasha Winters, and Crislyn Keene for performing solos today all receving aj Outstanding (II) rating!🥈

I am so proud of all of these kids and all of the hard work that they have put into contest season. It is so scary to go up in front of a judge and perform.

A special shout-out to our amazing accompanist Stephanie Myers for accompanying all of our band and choir students! We appreciate you so much!

Now time for a much needed spring break!😴🦅🎶

Another great day of work in the NMCC choir room to wrap up our preparations for contest! Mrs. Leimbach, Director of Choirs at Jackson High School, came down today to work with Singing Eagles right before we head to contest on Friday! The kids were once again very responsive and receptive!

Good luck to all of our band members competing in Large Group on Thursday before we go for Solo/Ensemble on Friday!
