It was great to have the hometown boys play on the patio for Porchfest!! We love this event and its honoree, Bill Gossman. Cheers to all the musicians and the volunteers at the LTA for putting it all together!

Monday's topic was colorful vegetables. The media was gouache and the lesson was mixing for interesting oranges and greens. Everyone gets a different result, everyone paints their own image and we all practice our own art. Endlessly, the good stuff.

We discussed the weather in our MN way, as things have been strangely chilly here. We were joined by friends in BC, NJ, NY, IL, and Austin, MN. KS was in the garage as a special summer treat. We spoke of birds and flyways, teaching the younger generations and the particular characteristics of a quilting practice. We learn things, we chat and we share silences. Join us sometime!
