As part of our CT Open House Day celebration on Saturday, June 13th, we are opening the doors to our theater for a special, FREE screening of Sports Heaven: The Birth of ESPN!

Before it became a global media empire, ESPN was just an improbable idea born right here in Connecticut. This fascinating 65-minute documentary follows Bill Rasmussen, his son Scott, and their partners as they defied the doubters to build the world’s very first all-sports cable network. 🏈📺

ELECTRIC BOAT GROTON welcomed the next generation of shipbuilders at their 5th Annual Groton Signing Day at
the historic Garde Arts Center in
New London.

More than 185 students walked across the stage to receive their hard hat and certificate, representing over 300 graduating seniors who have accepted offers to begin their careers at Electric Boat Groton.

The evening celebrated their hard work, determination, and commitment to pursuing meaningful careers after high school. Surrounded by family, friends, educators, and mentors, these students were recognized for reaching an incredible milestone and taking the first step toward building the nation’s most advanced submarines.

Congratulations to The Sound School, recipient of this year’s Signing Day Award for having the highest percentage of their graduating class accept offers with Electric Boat.

As each student crossed the stage, it was a reminder that the future of shipbuilding is already here - and it’s being built by the next generation.
