There is nothing more rewarding than having clients come back years later. ❤️
About six years ago, I had the pleasure of transforming Leslie and Ryan’s first home in Vernon Hills. This summer, they trusted me once again—this time with their second home. That kind of trust means more to me than I can express.
It was also so special to see how much their family has grown. Seeing their kids after all these years reminded me why I love what I do. Building relationships with my clients is just as important as creating beautiful spaces.
For this kitchen, they originally wanted black lower cabinets, but I recommended a very dark gray instead. With young kids, true black tends to show every little drip or splash as it dries, making it much harder to maintain. We ended up choosing Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace for the upper cabinets and a rich, deep Benjamin Moore gray for the lowers—the perfect balance of timeless elegance and everyday practicality.
To complete the transformation, I also gave their soaring two-story fireplace a fresh whitewash, creating a bright, updated focal point for the entire home.
Thank you, Leslie and Ryan, for trusting me again. Being invited back into your family’s new home is the greatest compliment I could receive.
✨ Swipe to see the transformation!
