You won't believe what showed up on Antiques Roadshow tonight!

A Baltimore Album Major Ringgold Quilt dating to about 1850 - just as I'm putting the finishing touches on my Major Ringgold Quilt Limited Edition pattern.

After more than three years immersed in the history and re-creation of the twenty blocks of the Major Ringgold Quilt, I certainly wasn't expecting to see one of his Baltimore Album cousins appear on ANTIQUES ROADSHOW tonight!

The timing couldn't be better. Major Ringgold is nearly ready to march out the door, with all twenty blocks together in one Heirloom Edition, and within days, you'll be able to create a Ringgold heirloom of your own.

Major Ringgold update!
The twenty patterns are complete, and I’ve spent the summer bringing almost fours years now, of research, history, photographs, and instructions together into the final Heirloom Edition. Now I’m fixing spaces, straightening pages, and trying very hard not to add “just one more thing”! This time, the finishing touches really ARE the finishing touches. Be watching - the Major's march will be beginning soon!

Happy Birthday, America! Hope it's a wonderful day with your families!

There are still a few final details to buff before Major Ringgold is ready for inspection. He insisted on more polishing before celebrating. Thank you all for following this journey and Happy 4th of July!!

The Major has polished his boots, but he's still fastening the last few buttons on his coat. His twenty historic blocks are assembling into formation and will be marching to your house soon!

I'm excited to announce that the journey is over and Major Ringgold is taking his last march. It began nearly 4 years ago and is ending tomorrow as the research for the last block is completed and on its way to those who signed up to receive this pattern Block-by-Block. They have been patient and supportive, indeed!

So, as a tickler, I will be consolidating all the block and research information into one complete pattern including all the "goodies" that will come with it!
