The ones who return.

Mrs. Helen Alving prepares to dedicate an orphanage to her late husband just as her son, Oswald, has returned home from many years abroad. Their dark history becomes entwined with the pastor, housemaid, and a local carpenter as they wrestle with the sins of the father and the harsh judgement of the society that surrounds them. Unflinching, Ibsen's play is a fiery criticism of morality and hidden truths vs ideals.

Flock continues its exploration of the Norwegian playwright’s classic works after successful runs of Hedda Gabler (2025) and Peer Gynt (2023).

Cast:
Mrs. Helen Alving- Suzanne McCormack
Pastor Manders- Kip Hashagen
Oswald Alving- Brandon Tyler
Jacob Engstrand- Richard Selden
Regina Engstrand- Juliette Robinson

A one-act play published and performed after the playwright’s death.
A night clerk in a small New York hotel lobby is visited by a long-term guest, a small time hustler who bemoans his bad luck ever since the clerk’s predecessor, Hughie, died. The guest’s ramblings echo in the empty lobby with the feeling of isolation and the deeply human need for connection and validation.

A wonderful article about this weekend and a sneak peak of what’s in store for us this fall and winter! Thanks to The Day!

The Burning of Benedict Arnold is based on an event that locals held in the years after the 1781 fire blamed on Arnold, a revolutionary turned British agent from Norwich.
