Introducing the cast of Perry County Theatre Association's production of "Into the Woods"!

“Is this your first show with PCTA?”
“If NO: What do you think will be different about this show compared to PCTA's previous shows?”
This is my third show with PCTA, and this one... is a whooole other ball game! This show is so complicated musically, and really requires perfect timing from the entire cast. This show really stands out from our others because of the raw talent and dedication required to pull it off and make it succeed. Where our earlier shows were more relaxed and easy-going, this one already feels much more intense. But, all the more rewarding!

“What do you think will be the most difficult part of the show for you?”
For me, personally? The most difficult thing will be dealing with my stage fright during my songs. This will be my first ever performance where I sing solo.

“What are you most looking forward to with this show?”
I'm so looking forward to making new friends, and spending time with my fellow cast members.

“What are some of your favorite songs/music pieces in the show?”
I love "Stay With Me" and "It Takes Two"

“Do you have any favorite lyrics or lines of dialogue from "Into the Woods"?”
Yes! My favorite lines are in the "Agony" part 2, where Rapunzel's prince sings about being afraid of dwarves.

“If you could perform in any musical, play, or other kind of show, what would it be?”
I would love to be a part of "Moulin Rouge".

“Every character wished for something and had to go into the woods to get it. If you went into the woods, what would you be hoping to get?”
I want Jack's golden-egg-laying hen. Gimme.

“Why should people come see this show?”
Because, honestly, it's going to be amazing. There is so much talent in this cast it's insane. Besides that, the show is fun, funny, and has plenty of twists and turns that keep it exciting.

Introducing the cast of Perry County Theatre Association's production of "Into the Woods"!

Meet Peyton Everett. (Florinda).

"Is this your first show with PCTA?
If NO: What do you think will be different about this show compared to PCTA's previous shows?"
This is not my first rodeo! What will be super different about this show is the complexity of the characters and how fast the rhythm goes. When I first started this show, I almost thought we couldn't do it, but we are pulling it off so well!

"What do you think will be the most difficult part of the show for you?"
The most difficult part of the show will probably be singing the higher notes, however that shouldn't stop me from having the best time of my life!

"What are you most looking forward to with this show?"
I'm looking forward to acting as a princess in a ballgown. But seriously I think I'm most excited to work with this group of people they are very kind and caring as well as considerate.

"What are some of your favorite songs/music pieces in the show?"
My favorite songs would probably be the prologue (Witch's part) and maybe Ever After, after rehearsing it so many times.

"Do you have any favorite lyrics or lines of dialogue from "Into the Woods"?"
My favorite line would probably be when Jack says "A piggy??" or when the Baker tells Granny he is not a hunter, he is a baker.

"If you could perform in any musical, play, or other kind of show, what would it be?"
I would love to do the Greatest Showman, Footloose or even Chicago. I love being a part of it all.

"Every character wished for something and had to go into the woods to get it. If you went into the woods, what would you be hoping to get?"
I would be hoping for health and wellness in my family and others. Sicknesses and health problems have been troubling for many this year and I've seen it all around while working at a nursing home as well. That would be the greatest wish I'd get from the woods.

Why should people come see this show?
People should come to see the show not only because of how much effort we put in, but because of the story line. I feel that in each character's position it teaches more than just lessons. And even at the end of the show, it shows that you still have those who you ran into along the journey to help you.

Hi Friends!

We are looking for volunteers to help in the front of the house during our performances July 30th, 31st and August 1st & 2nd! Looking for at least 2-3 people to help with a few tables! If you’d like to help please fill out this Google form below and someone will reach out to you!

The PCTA are looking for volunteers to help us with our performance of Into the Woods. We need assistance in our concession stand, our merch table, and as ushers.

Meet Courtney Skillman. (Cinderella's Stepmother).

"Is this your first show with PCTA?
If NO: What do you think will be different about this show compared to PCTA's previous shows?"
No, this isn't my first PCTA show. I think this show will really show our teamwork as it's a much bigger team effort.

"What do you think will be the most difficult part of the show for you?"
The speed of the songs! This show is fast paced and requires more conscious breaths.

"What are you most looking forward to with this show?"
Working together with the cast. I love this show and am excited to finally perform in it!

"What are some of your favorite songs/music pieces in the show?"
Giants in the Sky is incredible and Our Little World

"Do you have any favorite lyrics or lines of dialogue from "Into the Woods"?"
"If she just didn't drool"

"If you could perform in any musical, play, or other kind of show, what would it be?"
I'd love to perform in Six or Nunsense!

"Why should people come see this show?"
This cast is incredibly talented and an absolute joy to work with!

Meet Missy Sheppard. (Cinderella's Mother/Granny).

"Is this your first show with PCTA?
If NO: What do you think will be different about this show compared to PCTA's previous shows?"
No, second show and this show is full of amazing musical performances with many characters performing at the same time. I’m most looking forward to how everyone’s parts make the whole show come together.

"What do you think will be the most difficult part of the show for you?"
Not giggling when I kill the wolf!

"What are you most looking forward to with this show?"
Killing the wolf scene!

"What are some of your favorite songs/music pieces in the show?"
Jack’s and Jack's Mother's songs.

"Do you have any favorite lyrics or lines of dialogue from "Into the Woods"?"
Little Red is a sassy young one and loves to eat. When she sings, “I kinda hate to ask it, but do you have a basket?” to the Baker and his wife is one of my favorite parts.

"If you could perform in any musical, play, or other kind of show, what would it be?"
The Wizard of Oz

"Every character wished for something and had to go into the woods to get it. If you went into the woods, what would you be hoping to get?"
I would love to be able to get advice from my Dad, a lot like Cinderella’s Mom does for Cinderella.

"Why should people come see this show?"
People should come see this show because it will make you smile! It’s a time to remember fairy tales and learn all the ways they are connected.
