The world looks different in black and white.

When color is removed, you’re left with the things that matter most—light, shadow, texture, emotion, and the story within the image.

Black-and-white photography has always been one of my favorite artistic expressions. It challenges me to see beyond what is obvious and to create photographs that are timeless, dramatic, and full of feeling. Every image I create begins with a moment that caught my eye and became something I wanted to preserve.

Throughout July, I’ll be sharing the stories behind many of my favorite fine art photographs as we count down to the Fort Armstrong Folk Festival in Kittanning, PA, where I’ll be exhibiting my work, including matted prints, framed artwork, metal prints, canvases, and other fine art pieces.

I hope you’ll enjoy following along, and perhaps you’ll discover a photograph that speaks to you.
