Chili-less Chili Burger
Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp brown sugar
1/4 cayenne pepper
salt/black pepper to taste
hamburger buns
sharp cheddar cheese, sliced
purple onions, sliced
Frito chips, original or chili cheese
chipotle aioli
Other optional toppings: tomatoes, lettuce, sliced avacado
Add the chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to 2 lbs of ground beef. Optional: You can add 1 egg to the meat if needed as a binder when forming patties. Mix. Form patties and cook. Melt a slice of cheese on top of the patties. Toast hamburger buns for an added crunch. Spread chipotle aioli on the inside of the top and bottom buns. Add a meat patti then toppings of choice such as, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, sliced avocado, and chips, then add the top bun. This burger would pair well with a side of beans, salad, fries, more chips, etc. Enjoy!
