JESSIE QUANTRILLE SAVELL ✨
Jessie Quantrille Savell is an enthusiastic and focused artist who is in her 10th year of teaching and choreographing. She started dancing at the age of 3, competing at 5, and finished her dance training at Main Street Dance in Hammond, LA as a member of their pre-professional company. Jessie is extensively and classically trained in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, and various styles of contemporary. She was awarded scholarships in her youth that allowed her to attend intensives/national programs in New York and California to train under master teachers at the top of the dance industry. In the summer of 2014, Jessie was cast in a Mandy Moore professional video shoot to the music of Sam Smith at the first annual Dancerpalooza. After graduating high school, Jessie co-created Heatwave Summer Dance Workshop which brought weekend dance intensives to studios across south Louisiana for 3 summers. As a performer, she has been featured in modern dance shows “current-ly”, “it’s about women”, and “no feels just vibes” with modern dance and collaboration based company, “space lafayette”. Jessie has been a guest performer in The University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s State of La Danse, most recently in the fall of 2023 in Alex McBride’s “Comma pause”. She has also appeared as a featured dancer in Downtown Lafayette’s “Window Wonderland” in a variety of pop-up performances. Most recently, Jessie partook in Basin Art’s “Dance Lab” performing Shelby Moore’s “buzzkill” at multiple community engagements. In the Fall of 2024 and 2025, Jessie set musical theater concert pieces for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s College of Performing Arts Program’s State of La Danse. “Dance! Sing! Fly!” and “Femmes Fatale” were a celebrations of Fosse’s legacy and commercial Broadway style jazz. Jessie served as Assistant Director at Distinction Dance Company, a pre-professional training program for four seasons, and continues to serve the community choreographing and mentoring at various studios in the Lafayette area and across Louisiana and Texas.
