The cutest family bought a sun catcher from me today at the Art Walk, and y’all KNOW how much I love seeing the glass in its new home! I’m so grateful for everyone who came to see me today and for all of the new people I met. It was a great turnout and I can’t wait to be at the next one!

I think it’s time I introduced myself to those of you who don’t know the person behind the Glass! Hi, I’m Hannah, and I started learning how to make stained glass art back in July of last year (2021). The more I looked for teachers and mentors, the more I realized how much of a dying art stained glass is becoming, which is so sad! I love the color and warmth a small piece of glass art can bring to a room. Im self-taught with thanks to YouTube, TikTok accounts, and lots of trial and error. I’m from and live in New Iberia, LA. New Iberia has beautiful historic homes filled with beautiful stained glass windows. By the end of the year I’d like to have the skill to repair the windows of these beautiful homes. I look forward to what will become of this hobby and can’t wait to hear from you all! And of course, feel free to message me for any questions you may have!

Two of my dearest friends, David and Andrea, are getting married in a couple months!! This weekend I was able to give Andrea this piece for her bridal shower after keeping it a secret for about a month. I made the glass pattern from their engagement photo that was used for their “save the date” cards ♥️♥️♥️♥️

I LOVE seeing pictures of glass in their new home! I see them when I’m taking photos and while they’re laying on my work desk, but to me, the way they add color to their new home truly shows their beauty! A lovely woman from Utah found my account and ordered several matching cardinals with dogwood on the branch for herself and family as Christmas gifts. Her sisters live on the east coast where this is their state bird and flower. How sweet?! She sent me a picture of hers in its new home and it made my day! ♥️

I’ve been VERY excited to post this piece! I made this for two friends of mine as a wedding gift! They purchased a fixer-upper as their first home. About a month ago, I used a couple spies to find out what updates were planned for the outside of the home, then drew up a pattern! It really turned out nicely and I think it may be my favorite piece to date (I know I say that every time I make something new)
