Our new beautiful and great sounding studios are almost all ready to use! We have been doing a few sessions in our overdub/mixing Studio C.
Had a great session with drummer/singer Stan Kipper along with guitarist and songwriter David Challman.
Stan sang an old Gypsy song that David Challman helped write back with R.I.P. James Walsh.
James sang it originally. It was bittersweet but came out great.
Also did a voiceover session with Terry Daniel

It was very informative hanging out at Rare Form Mastering with friend/colleague Greg Reierson.
Needed a transfer done and got to watch the vinyl master cutting process.
With everything so digital these days it was very gratifying and almost soothing to watch.

Favorite moments of the Grammys.
Minneapolis musician and The Time member Jellybean Johnson memorial flashed as my favorite music moment, a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne happened with a performance of Black Sabbath War Pigs on stage. Was glad to hear some Rock!
Grammy nominations for former MN audio Engineer -Martin Buff for best Immersive album Tearjerkers and Lucien Parker, part of our new recording studio crew, who worked on Lacrae's Reconstruction album.
Also was great to see The CureThe Cure win their first Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album, Songs for a Lost World and Best Alternative Music Performance for the song Alone. I love this album as it has the throwback sound of my favorite Cure album Disintegration.

Early awards started.
Fingers crossed for one of our new studio crew, Lucien Parker who worked on Lecrae Reconstruction album which is nominated for
Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.

A glimpse of Winterland Studios new facility. After 21 years of business we have joined into a collaboration with Evergreen Audio.
The API Legacy Plus console is almost all hooked up. We still have more work to do but hoping to be ready for the new year.
There are three amazing studios in the facility.
More to come!

Just saw this and realized the interview was shot at here at Winterland Studios
She was in town for a great show at First Ave club for charity. Many members from Prince's bands including The Revolution.
They also did a rehearsals at the studio.
Fun times.
